February 2017 Update
Abdul Isse - Sunday, March 05, 2017

The Baja team has been busy over the last several weeks with fundraising, social activities and manufacturing. The Baja bake sale was a huge success, raising over $600 for use towards competition related expenses. In hopes to maintain the “work hard, play hard” balance, the team changed lanes, to the bowling lanes for a social event. Members had a chance to engage outside the classroom and show off their skills.

Back in the shop, the 2017 Baja vehicle build is well underway. The frame build, cost report and various laser cut orders have been completed. The team is focusing efforts on the in-house manufacturing of suspension components like custom uprights. Members are looking forward to moving through the next stages of the build and attending the upcoming UMSAE social. All in all, the Baja is right on track!
