With the 2011 year coming to a successful close, the formula team started off the summer with high spirits and ready to go for the 2012 season. Excited to get started, the team quickly set goals and guidelines for this year. It was decided that the team was to keep in mind the 2011 goal of building off of previous designs and experience while still exploring new designs to implement on the car. Early deadlines were set this year to allow the team a month of testing time before the first competition. With designs now nearing completion, we will be holding a design review in late October and starting the build season in the weeks to come. Some new features to look forward to on this year’s car include: a unibody carbon fibre chassis, pull-rod suspension system, and a variable intake.
