The formula hybrid team has continued it’s relentless efforts on design and construction of their car. The tube frame fabrication has been completed, as well the pedal box and major suspension components are in the process of fabrication.
In the aerodynamics department, the front wing design of the car has been completed and the mold has been machined.
In the area of electronics, the component layout is complete for the battery side pods. This year’s design will feature kevlar side pods, which will provide both lighweight rigidity, and also electric insulation for the batteries and connections. Work also continues for the electrical section while they set up a test bed for the drive train control system and finalize the generation unit design.
