Every year, the Aero team produces 4 aircraft. The first is the 50% scale prototype, which validates aircraft sizing as well as stability and aerodynamics.
Construction then begins on a full scale prototype which is used to evaluate performance and test the limits of our plane. This also gives us an opportunity to find any design flaws or manufacturing difficulties that are subsequently corrected for the final build.
Two competition aircraft are built which ensures we are able to continue flying even if one is damaged in a crash or during transport.
During the summer we research and test new configurations, materials, and manufacturing techniques to improve our plane.
